This video will give you an idea of how I shot my first tiger. You will not actually see the tiger in the video due to the wide angle lens, but I included a couple still images at the end.

We rushed over the dirt roads through Bandhavgarh National Park to the spot where others had reported the tiger was in the water. When we got there he was out of the water, resting on rocks about 300ft from the road. We were there only 10 minutes (due to some park regulations) and during that time I shot 300 images at 1300mm and very high ISO ... up to ISO 10,000.
